Police dog tracks down missing 3-year-old in woods

Image
A missing 3-year-old boy was found safe last week, all thanks to a Florida police dog. Midnight found that missing toddler on Friday. “He was dragging me through the woods like he was just, he wasn’t gonna stop,” DeLand Police Corporal Damon Clark said. When it comes to his job, Midnight gets it done. Clark said all he had to do was give him a sniff of the boy’s blanket and then send him off. “I would say we were on the ground probably 45 minutes or so, which feels like hours and hours and hours when you’re being dragged behind the dog through the woods,” he said. Clark says he was full of cuts and scrapes, but despite the challenging terrain, Midnight was successful. “The dog was actually able to get to him much quicker than I was because I’m getting caught up on vines and trees and shrubbery and stuff like that,” he said. The 3-year-old would often play in the woods, which is why Clark says he likely wandered off, but he got lost. Thankfully, the boy had his tablet and he stayed...

On a chilly November morning, a South Jersey family awoke to find their 11-month-old pup, Daisy, in a bit of a predicament. The black Labrador-mix had somehow managed to wedge her head through the center of an old tire, and she was now stuck. With no way to free herself, Daisy began to panic. Thankfully, her family knew just who to call. The family called the Hamilton Township Fire Department, and a crew of firefighters soon arrived on the scene. They assessed the situation and determined that the best plan of action would be to cut the tire to free Daisy. So, using a saw, the firefighters carefully cut through the rubber, all the while being mindful of Daisy's safety. After several tense minutes, Daisy was finally freed from the tire and rushed to the vet for a checkup. Thankfully, she was unharmed and soon returned home to her family, who were no doubt relieved to have their beloved pup back safe and sound. This was just another day in the life of the Hamilton Township Fire Depa...
