MISSING: ELIJAH VUE


On June 2, 2019, Elijah Vue, a 22-year-old man, was last seen walking to work in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Vue is a black man, 5’9”, and weighing roughly 175 pounds. He has short, black hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black jeans, and black shoes. Anyone who may have seen him that day or who has any information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Eau Claire Police Department at (715) 839-4972


At approximately 8:30 a.m. on June 2, 2019, a witness reported seeing Vue walking on Barstow Street in downtown Eau Claire. This was the last known sighting of Vue. Later that day, he was reported missing by a family member after failing to show up to work. Law enforcement conducted an extensive search of the area, including a K-9 search, but were unable to locate Vue. Investigators have also checked surveillance footage from businesses in the area, but so far have not found any footage of Vue.


It’s important to note that Vue has no history of mental illness, and there is no indication that he planned to disappear. Law enforcement is continuing to investigate all leads in the case, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward. They are especially interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen Vue on the morning of June 2, or anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area at that time. Investigators have released a few more details about the case, including that Vue’s cell phone was found at his apartment, and his car was located at his place of employment. His keys, wallet, and other personal belongings were also found in his apartment. This has led investigators to believe that he may have disappeared while walking to work. They have not ruled out foul play, and they are asking anyone with information to come forward.


Vue’s friends and family have described him as a kind and compassionate person, who would never intentionally leave his loved ones without an explanation. They are continuing to search for him, and have set up a website with information about the case. They are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to Vue’s safe return. They are also seeking assistance from the public in distributing flyers with Vue’s information. 


Vue’s mother, Chia Vue, has been especially vocal about the need for the public to come forward with information. She has made numerous media appearances and is pleading for anyone who knows anything about the case to contact law enforcement. Vue’s sister, Jamee Vue, has also spoken out, describing her brother as a kind and caring person who would never leave his family without a reason. She is also asking for anyone with information to come forward.


The family has also set up a Facebook page called “Justice for Elijah Vue,” where they post updates about the case and appeal for help in finding him. They have also set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the reward fund. The page has raised over $2,000 so far. The family is desperate for answers and is hoping that someone will come forward with information that will lead to Vue’s safe return. 


Vue’s disappearance has had a profound impact on the Eau Claire community. Many local businesses have posted flyers about the case and are encouraging their customers to come forward with any information. The local police department is also working hard to find Vue and has assigned a team of detectives to the case.  In 2009, a woman named Charla Nash was severely mauled by her friend's pet chimpanzee named Travis. Travis had been raised like a human and could even perform basic tasks like using the toilet, making coffee, and riding in a car.  In March of 2017, 14-year-old Bobby was reported missing from his home in Phoenix, Arizona. His mother, Sarah Linhart, told police that she had last seen him at their home the previous evening. She said that Bobby had taken a shower and gone to bed, and she assumed he was still in his room when she woke up the next morning.
